Job DetailsJob Location: Gasbarre - DuBois, PA 15801Position Type: Full TimeEducation Level: 4 Year DegreeTravel Percentage: Up to 25%Job Shift: DayJob Category: EngineeringGENERAL SUMMARY: The Tool Design Engineer will be responsible for leading tooling design efforts during new job development, as well as maintaining and updating existing tooling drawings. This position is a customer interactive and requires a candidate that is dependable, punctual, accountable, and respectful. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Evaluate customer requests and examine technical drawings to resolve design issues, assure product quality, and customer satisfaction. Provide technical assistance to customers as needed. Stay current with new software and manufacturing processes. Research new tooling concepts as required. Identify continuous improvement opportunities in existing tooling. Work between internal departments to improve efficiency of manufacturing operations. Perform any other task or duty as requested / required.   QualificationsKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Strong communication skills to effectively communicate technical information to customers and employees. Good program and file management skills. Ability to work effectively in Microsoft Platform Tools (Word, Excel, Teams) PM Tool Processing knowledge Competence in time and project management skills TRAVEL: Some travel may be required as necessary. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Experience in PM tooling, 2D CAD, and 3D CAD is required. Experience in MasterCAM and Solidworks is preferred. Shape to CAD experience. FEA, structural analysis experience. Machining experience is preferred. PM Tool Processing experience is preferred.
