Martin Equipment is a family-owned John Deere Construction Equipment dealership with nearly 100 years of service and growth. We are currently seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to support our Dubuque location. This role plays a key part in keeping daily operations running smoothly by providing administrative, accounting, and customer support across multiple departments. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys a fast-paced environment, delivers excellent customer service, and takes pride in organization, accuracy, and teamwork. Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM Location: Dubuque, IA Compensation: Competitive pay What You’ll Do   Balance daily cash sales and petty cash Reconcile monthly bank statements and credit card expenses Code invoices and coordinate with Accounts Payable Support sales paperwork and documentation processing Process rental transactions and equipment status reports Assist with HR communications and new employee onboarding Process John Deere parts invoices Serve as the first point of contact by answering and directing incoming calls Greet and assist customers and visitors in a professional, welcoming manner Additional Responsibilities Run reports to support inventory and department needs Maintain organized filing systems Manage office equipment and supplies Handle incoming/outgoing mail for the branch Complete occasional parts runs for the Parts Department Assist with branch events, luncheons, and celebrations Support additional administrative tasks as needed What You Bring Education & Experience High School Diploma or GED required Associate’s degree or business-related education preferred 1–3 years of administrative or related experience Skills & Abilities Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint) Strong communication and customer service skills High level of professionalism and attention to detail Ability to prioritize, stay organized, and manage multiple tasks Self-motivated with the ability to work independently Demonstrates integrity, dependability, and a positive attitude Work Environment & Physical Demands Office-based role using standard office equipment Ability to sit for extended periods Occasional lifting up to 25 lbs.
