Orthopedic Physical Therapist – Lead an Innovative Rehabilitation Program

Are you looking for more than a traditional clinical role? This is an opportunity for a motivated Physical Therapist to help develop and lead a growing orthopedic and regenerative rehabilitation program while maintaining the autonomy to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.

This privately owned, patient-focused practice offers extended one-on-one treatment sessions in a cash-based environment, allowing clinicians to focus on outcomes rather than insurance limitations. The ideal candidate is passionate about orthopedics, enjoys working with active individuals, and is excited by the opportunity to build a specialty program from the ground up.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and lead the orthopedic and regenerative rehabilitation service line.
  • Evaluate and treat patients using evidence-based orthopedic techniques, manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and return-to-activity programming.
  • Help establish clinical protocols and best practices for regenerative therapies, including shockwave treatment, while contributing to future program growth.
  • Mentor support staff and collaborate with the clinical team to ensure exceptional patient outcomes.
  • Build relationships within the community through educational events, networking, and referral development.
  • Maintain accurate electronic documentation with minimal administrative burden.

Why This Opportunity Stands Out

  • True one-on-one patient care with approximately 7–8 patients per day.
  • Cash-based practice focused on clinical excellence rather than insurance requirements.
  • Opportunity to shape and grow a specialized service line.
  • Collaborative, supportive team that values professional development and mentorship.
  • Competitive base salary depending on experience, plus performance-based bonus opportunities tied to practice growth and patient retention.
  • Flexible full-time schedule with work-life balance in mind.

We're Looking For Someone Who

  • Has a strong orthopedic background and enjoys treating active adults.
  • Wants to take ownership of a program and make a lasting impact.
  • Is interested in emerging regenerative rehabilitation techniques and new treatment technologies.
  • Enjoys leadership, collaboration, and continuous learning.
  • Is motivated by professional growth and the opportunity to help shape the future of a growing practice.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree.
  • Current Iowa Physical Therapy license or eligibility to obtain licensure.
  • Experience treating orthopedic conditions with confidence in return-to-activity or return-to-sport rehabilitation.
  • Interest in regenerative therapies such as shockwave treatment; training will be provided.

Schedule

  • Full-time preferred (4–5 days per week). Some flexibility is available for the right candidate, with occasional evening or weekend community events.

Must Have

  • Current Iowa Physical Therapy license or eligibility to obtain licensure.
  • Experience treating orthopedic conditions with confidence in return-to-activity or return-to-sport rehabilitation.
