JOB DESCRIPTION:

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Make quality judgments and accept responsibility for decisions based on set criteria’s.
  • Must understand all paint related specifications.
  • Observe and identify manufacturing process improvements to assure quality is built into the process.
  • Inspect painted metal against engineering specifications.
  • Use several different quality measuring tools such as DFT gauge, photo spectrometer, cross hatch kit, etc.
  • Analyze non-conforming material (scrap) and make recommendations for corrective actions and continuous improvement.
  • Inspect final assembly to assure product meets customer specifications.
  • Advise supervisor and/or leads of any product defects.
  • Identify and communicate quality issues; makes recommendations for corrective actions and continuous improvement, including 
  • Written Work Instruction(WWI’s), measuring equipment, inspection records, etc.
  • Provide product support to customers (internal and external)
  • Provide daily shift reports.
  • Assist in training new Quality Assurance Inspectors.
  • Identify means to prevent recurring errors and issues.
  • Create visual aids for production lines; assist in training new operators, as needed.
  • Inspect incoming and outgoing credit products.
  • Assure conformance with the 5S program.
  • Assure compliance with all related safety policies and procedures.
  • Serve as a member of the Quality Control team, providing assistance as needed.
  • Serve as a member of the APL team, providing assistance as needed.

QUALIFICATION AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Graduate/GED/HSED.
  • Basic reading and math skills.
  • Ability to read a tape measure.
  • Demonstrated understanding of basic material specifications.
  • Demonstrated understanding of manufacturing processes throughout the plant.
  • Demonstrated understanding of quality inspection principles and practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret prints, manuals, sample boards and quality specs. 
  • Computer skills, not limited to the following list; Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook with the ability to maintain databases .
  • and reports using necessary programs.
  • Demonstrated color acuity.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate and read various measuring instruments.
  • Demonstrated written and oral communication skills.
  • Customer service skills.
  • Ability to understand, prioritize, and administer multiple and diverse tasks.

  • Ability to operate lift equipment as needed.
  • Physical ability to perform job duties.
  • Demonstrated ability to work without direct supervision.

PAY RANGE:

$24.30 - $27.45

PROFIT SHARING: In 2026 Andersen has set a profit-sharing target of $3,600 per eligible employee, prorated as appropriate. Profit Sharing will be paid out in quarterly installments to provide eligible employees with payments throughout the year, with payment amounts tied to quarterly operating profit performance.
