Job Title: Production Team Lead – 3rd Shift

Location: Dubuque, IA

Job Type: Full-Time | Non-Exempt

Shift: 3rd Shift; Sunday-Thursday 11:00PM - 7:00AM (Training for 8-12 weeks on 1st Shift Monday-Friday 7:00AM-3:00PM)

Pay: $21-$25/hour (pay based on experience) plus $2.50/hour shift differential

Position Overview:

RIE Coatings is expanding our operations and adding a new 3rd shift, and we are hiring a Production Team Lead to join our growing team and support overnight operations at our Dubuque, IA facility. This is a working leadership role, meaning you will actively work on the production floor while guiding the team and keeping operations running smoothly.

The Team Lead must be willing to learn and perform all production positions including boxing, pre-treatment, blasting, and dip spin operations, as well as operate a forklift to support workflow throughout the shift.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide nightly work direction and support to production operators
• Work alongside the team and step into any position as needed, including boxing, pre-treatment, blasting, and dip spin operations
• Operate a forklift to move product and support production flow
• Run machines during employee absences and assist with breaks
• Perform quality checks and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
• Troubleshoot basic equipment issues before escalating to maintenance
• Communicate shift updates with leadership and other shifts
• Lead shift huddles and maintain accurate production documentation
• Respond to spill incidents, safety concerns, and facility issues
• Support 6S/housekeeping initiatives and assist with training

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous leadership or team lead experience
• 2+ years of manufacturing or production experience
• Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs
• Ability to stand, bend, reach, twist, and perform repetitive movements throughout the shift

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with JobBOSS (Exact)
• Basic Microsoft Office skills

Work Environment & Physical Demands:

• Work is performed in a production/warehouse setting.
• Exposure to chemicals and hot conditions.
• Frequent movement, including standing and lifting throughout the shift.
• Manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination required.
