Job DetailsJob Location: Q Casino + Resort - Dubuque, IA 52001Position Type: Part TimeSalary Range: $20.00 - $20.00 Hourly  IMON ARENA Q CASINO + RESORT Zamboni Building Attendant BASIC FUNCTION The Zamboni Building Attendant is responsible for maintaining a quality ice surface through scheduled resurfacings and other assigned ice maintenance at the ImOn Arena. The Zamboni Building Attendant is responsible for the cleanliness of locker rooms, bathrooms, lobbies, bleachers, and hallways, as well as other assigned areas. ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS Reports to: ImOn Arena Maintenance Supervisor SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Operate Zamboni/ice resurfacing equipment to resurface and maintain ice according to schedule Monitor ice conditions and make adjustments for thickness, temperature, and quality Perform daily inspections of equipment, including water levels, blade condition, and mechanical functionality Complete basic maintenance on the Zamboni, including blade changes, cleaning, and minor repairs Maintain ice rink cleanliness (boards, glass, benches, surrounding areas) Follow all safety protocols related to machinery operation and facility standards Assist with rink setup for events (hockey games, public skate, special events) Identify and report maintenance or safety concerns promptly Keep accurate logs of resurfacing times, maintenance, and equipment use Support general facility operations as needed Perform cleaning whenever needed to maintain the facility and its surroundings in a clean and respectable condition. Work as a team member to ensure that the entire building is cleaned, stocked and ready for the next day's operation. Provide customer service, share information, and solve issues with the general public. Complete all other duties as assigned by the Facility Supervisor, or other full-time arena employees. Shovel and salt sidewalks and exit to maintain safe entrance and egress. Assist in the closing of the building as needed. Performs related duties as required. EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE The candidate must be at least 18 years of age. High School diploma or equivalent. Ability to follow written and oral direction. Ability to work nights and weekends. Ability to safely operate heavy or mechanical equipment Strong awareness of safety procedures and hazard prevention Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills Ability to follow schedules and work independently Strong attention to detail and ice quality standards Ability to work in a cold environment for extended periods Effective communication and teamwork skills Previous experience operating machinery or maintenance equipment preferred Experience with ice resurfacing equipment (Zamboni) is a plus (training can be provided) Valid driver’s license may be required STANDARDS OF PERFORMANCE Good oral communication skills. Good written communication skills. Good customer service skills. Ability to motivate others. MENTAL AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Heavy work, ability to move up to 50 lbs.
