Job DetailsJob Location: Green Industrial Supply, Inc. - DUBUQUE, IA 52002Position Type: Full TimeEducation Level: High SchoolTravel Percentage: NoneJob Shift: DayJob Category: WarehouseThe Forklift Operator Order Picker supports the Company’s operations by accurately preparing, packaging, and shipping outbound materials in accordance with customer requirements, carrier standards, and company procedures. This position plays a key role in maintaining product accuracy, shipment quality, and a safe, organized work environment. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Pick, pack, and prepare outbound orders according to shipping instructions and customer specifications. Use mobile scanning devices to pull parts out of the inventory system. Verify product accuracy, quantities, and documentation prior to shipment. Stage and load outbound shipments safely and in compliance with company procedures. Inspect outgoing materials for damage, defects, or inconsistencies and report issues promptly. Generate and apply shipping labels, bills of lading, and other required paperwork. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shipping area, including packaging supplies and staging zones. Conduct basic equipment inspections and ensure equipment is in proper working condition; report issues promptly. Work collaboratively as part of a team to meet productivity, quality, and safety standards. Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and accident prevention guidelines while on company property or operating equipment. Operate forklifts and other company vehicles in accordance with training and certification requirements. Assist with inventory counts, cycle counts, and general warehouse tasks as assigned. Communicate shipment delays, discrepancies, or concerns to the Warehouse Manager. Cross train in other shipping functions and assist other departments as needed. Complete required documentation, reports, and inventory records accurately and on time. Perform other duties as assigned. Maintain regular and reliable attendance. WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Work is performed in a fast paced, climate controlled warehouse environment. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to: Use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects and operate tools or controls. Reach with hands and arms. Communicate clearly in person, by phone, and electronically. Stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, and crouch as required by tasks. Lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds on a regular basis. QualificationsRequired High school diploma or equivalent. Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately pick and pull orders. Basic computer skills for label creation and shipment documentation. Ability to work and communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers, and other departments. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and work instructions. Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds. Preferred Prior forklift experience or certification. Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations. Familiarity with UPS, FedEx, or LTL freight systems. Experience using warehouse management systems (WMS).
