Position Description:

Banner Defense is in search of a Counter-Countermeasure and Threat Discrimination Engineer to join our team! In this role you will provide MDA Systems engineering and analysis expertise to develop new Missile Defense System capabilities to identify lethal objects.


Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and coordinate meeting-related products including technical assessments and reports, white papers, briefing materials, Courses of Action, contingency plans, implementation plans, technical and decision memoranda, audit responses, executive summaries, participate in discussions, present briefings, status, issues, positions, and recommendations
  • Conduct analysis and trade studies
  • Assist with program and technical efforts for Special Access Programs including analyzing, assessing, assisting in the production of SAP information
  • Conduct multi-discipline and multi-functional analysis including technical, budgets, and acquisition
  • Review technical products to ensure technical consistency throughout the MDS, conduct analysis to find causes of technical discrepancies in MDS technical performance
  • Prepare plans, analyses, assessment, reports and briefings for MDS countermeasures mitigation engineering
  • Assist with baseline, technical, and risk assessments, project status briefings, reports, technical analyses, cost analyses, and Program Management Reviews
  • Support the Countermeasures Mitigation Roadmap and strategy for the MDS countermeasure mitigation program.
  • Develop EA/EP modeling to support analysis and requirements development
  • Identify, develop, and refine sensor and system-level EP requirements
  • Develop technology maturation plans to transfer discrimination and countermeasures mitigation technologies to MDA organizations

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Masters in STEM field
  • 12+ years' experience working on missile defense-related or other DoD program / project
  • Knowledge and application of systems engineering analysis and process management
  • Knowledge and application of the development and review of engineering requirements, CONOPS, and integrated schedules
  • Knowledge of MDA Systems Engineering process and Missile Defense fundamentals to include radar limitations
  • SME of RADAR to include signal processing, schedulers and object classification, and Electronic Protection
  • Active Secret Clearance
  • Travel may be required

Desired Skills/Qualifications:

  • Top Secret/SCI Clearance
