TactWare is seeking a Systems Engineer to support the Precision Fires program for the U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Center (AvMC) at Redstone Arsenal.

In this role, you will support requirements development, analysis, management, and technical documentation throughout the system lifecycle. You will work across software, test, safety, cybersecurity, and other engineering disciplines to maintain traceability and support successful system integration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, analyze, and maintain system requirements.
  • Establish and maintain requirements traceability throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Use IBM DOORS to manage requirements, modules, objects, links, and supporting data.
  • Develop and maintain Requirement Verification Matrices (RVMs) and related requirements artifacts.
  • Analyze the impact of requirements and design changes across the system.
  • Coordinate requirements across Software, Test, Software Safety, Cybersecurity, and other engineering teams.
  • Author and maintain technical documentation and system specifications.
  • Participate in Agile development activities, engineering reviews, and technical interchange meetings.
  • Support systems engineering and analysis for complex system-of-systems challenges.


Required Qualifications

  • Active Secret security clearance.
  • U.S. citizenship is required due to security clearance requirements.
  • Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of relevant experience. An additional six years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • 2+ years of relevant systems engineering experience.
  • Hands-on experience using IBM DOORS to independently manage requirements, traceability, modules, objects, and related requirements data.
  • Experience developing and managing system or software requirements.
  • Experience establishing and maintaining requirements traceability.
  • Ability to analyze complex requirements and understand their impact across multiple engineering disciplines.
  • Strong technical writing and communication skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 10%.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting systems throughout the full development lifecycle.
  • Experience with the Army Acquisition Life Cycle.
  • Experience supporting U.S. Army or other Department of Defense programs.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure DevOps.
  • Familiarity with software development, system test, software safety, or cybersecurity engineering.
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment.
