PURPOSE

The Construction Foreman oversees construction crews, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards. The Foreman coordinates daily operations, supervises workers, monitors progress, and resolves any issues that arise during the construction process.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervise and manage construction crews on-site to ensure project completion in line with plans and schedules.
  • Coordinate daily tasks based on job site schedules, availability of materials, and project needs.
  • Ensure all work complies with safety protocols, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Communicate project goals and instructions to team members, resolving any problems or delays.
  • Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Report on progress to the Project Manager and provide updates on any issues or delays.
  • Monitor and manage the use of materials and equipment on-site.
  • Train and mentor junior crew members as needed, promoting a positive team environment.
  • Collaborate with subcontractors and other construction professionals to meet project specifications.  


REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in construction, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
  • Proficient in reading blueprints, construction plans, and job specifications.
  • Thorough understanding of construction methods, materials, and safety regulations.
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues and adapt to changing circumstances on-site.
  • Familiarity with basic computer programs for reporting and scheduling (e.g., Microsoft Office, project management software).
  • Valid TWIC Card
  • Valid driver’s license.
