PURPOSE

The Construction Superintendent oversees all on-site operations for construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and according to safety and quality standards. This role involves managing field personnel, coordinating with project managers and subcontractors, and solving day-to-day challenges on the job site.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervise all on-site construction activities to ensure projects meet quality standards and deadlines.
  • Manage and coordinate field teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth workflow and project progression.
  • Enforce all safety procedures and ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Monitor project progress, budget adherence, and resource allocation to meet project goals.
  • Inspect and ensure all construction work aligns with project plans, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Communicate regularly with the Project Manager and other key stakeholders to provide updates and address any issues or changes.
  • Schedule and oversee equipment deliveries, material logistics, and site setup.
  • Resolve any on-site issues or disputes promptly to minimize project delays.


REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in construction, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
  • Proficient in reading blueprints, construction plans, and job specifications.
  • Thorough understanding of construction methods, materials, and safety regulations.
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues and adapt to changing circumstances on-site.
  • Familiarity with basic computer programs for reporting and scheduling (e.g., Microsoft Office, project management software).
  • Valid TWIC Card
  • Valid driver’s license.
