The Opportunity:
Do you have a keen eye for detail and a passion for logistics? We are looking for a driven Logistics Coordinator Intern to join our team at our Sterling, VA office. Responsibilities:

As a Logistics Coordinator intern, your main job will be to help make sure that goods move and are stored efficiently. This means ensuring that deliveries are made on time and that all records are accurate. You’ll be assisting with:

  • Managing supply chain operations
  • Keeping track of inventory levels
  • Organizing transportation
  • Handling warehouse activities
  • Processing orders
  • Maintaining good relationships with vendors
  • Using technology to make logistics processes smoother

You’ll also help with keeping costs down and ensuring that everything meets high-quality standards.


Qualifications:


Required: 

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Logistics, or a related field
  • Ability to effectively interaction with team members, suppliers, and customers
  • Quick identification and resolution of logistics issues, with the ability to develop contingency plans
  • Willingness to collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to a positive work environment
  • Ensuring accuracy in documentation, inventory counts, and order processing
  • Ability to manage logistics information systems and ensure data accuracy
  • Experience or willingness to learn how to write standard operating procedures, guides and manuals
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a dynamic environment
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future

Desired: 

  • Familiarity with logistics technology such as JIRA and ServiceNow is a plus
  • 3.0 GPA
  • Previous logistical experience in an office-like environment
