- Current First Aid/CPR/AED certification, or willingness to obtain if necessary
- Completed Vehicle Use Authorization or willingness to obtain if necessary
- Ability to work with all ages of all populations in a variety of group sizes
- Excellent communication, organization, and conflict resolution skills
- Must be a UWS student in good academic standing
- Plan, prepare, lead, evaluate, and cleanup for trips ranging from hours to full weeks
- Market upcoming trips, programs, and special events to the campus community
- Log gear use and assist with evaluating for replacement
- Provide instruction to participants in a wide variety of outdoor skills
- Assist with the development and implementation of outdoor adventure programs for students, faculty and staff, and community members
- Communicate trip information and policies and procedures to staff and participants
- Market upcoming trips, programs, and special events to the campus community
- Learn proper belay Technique and Climbing Wall Policies
- Other duties as assigned
