Job Summary:

  • Current First Aid/CPR/AED certification, or willingness to obtain if necessary
  • Completed Vehicle Use Authorization or willingness to obtain if necessary
  • Ability to work with all ages of all populations in a variety of group sizes
  • Excellent communication, organization, and conflict resolution skills
  • Must be a UWS student in good academic standing
  • Plan, prepare, lead, evaluate, and cleanup for trips ranging from hours to full weeks
  • Market upcoming trips, programs, and special events to the campus community
  • Log gear use and assist with evaluating for replacement
  • Provide instruction to participants in a wide variety of outdoor skills
  • Assist with the development and implementation of outdoor adventure programs for students, faculty and staff, and community members
  • Communicate trip information and policies and procedures to staff and participants
  • Market upcoming trips, programs, and special events to the campus community
  • Learn proper belay Technique and Climbing Wall Policies
  • Other duties as assigned
