Job Summary:Ā Student administrative staff will assist the Educational Success Center and Disability Support Services with its general function and operations. General responsibilities include but are not limited to supporting new first-year students through mentoring, maintenance of Navigate usage, assistance in managing the tutoring programs, and outreach and marketing of the services of the Educational Success Center and Disability Support Services

Responsibilities:Ā 

  • Mentor a cohort of new incoming students of up to 50 students through established program Mentor Collective* at a minimum of four times per semester

  • Complete training to become a study skills tutor and support students as needed in enhancing academic skill building

  • Assist with projects of the Educational Success Center

  • File paperwork

  • Utilize Navigate to maintain and report on appointments, track student time, maintenance of the student app, and monitor appointment data as assigned.

  • Develop signage and marketing material using Canva, Microsoft Office, Adobe Photoshop, or other preferred tool

  • Assist with responding to inquiries and triaging students the Educational Success Center receives via physical drop-ins, email, or phone call

  • Maintain data for tutoring programs

  • Participate in trainings and other staff meetings as assigned

  • Assist with projects and operations of EAB Navigate

  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:Ā 

  • Be in good academic standing

  • Completion of one semester at UWS by Spring 2026

Preferred Qualifications:Ā 

  • Some experience using Canva or other design space

*Mentor Collective is a texting-based platform offered to all new incoming first-year students that will pair them with a paid ESC Employee who will serve as mentors as part of their first year experience. We anticipate that the majority of students will likely be successful with standard monthly outreach; select students may require additional outreach throughout the year.

Eligibility:Ā To be eligible for student employment during the Academic Year, a student must be enrolledĀ at least half timeĀ at UW-Superior for the current semester.
