Job Duties:    


  • Sales and business Development
  • Sell specialty chemical products, primarily para-aramid (trademarked Heracron) and para-aramid converted yarn/fabric/composites, for various industries such as safety, defense, ICT, aerospace, automotive, and other industrial fields with strong focus on defense and ballistics.
  • Develop and expand commercial relationships with key industrial customers while prospecting for new accounts to increase market share.
  • Conduct market intelligence activities to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and industry developments that drive business opportunities
  • Coordinate and take part in weekly/bi-weekly/quarterly sales summary/market intelligence meetings with the team to track, forecast and maintain sales and provide comprehensive sales forecast as well as market intelligence.
  • Manage the sales pipeline to identify and convert new business opportunities into commercial success.
  • On the per-needed basis, outside of attending forementioned regular sales summary meetings, provide forecast sales trends to support operations planning and introduce product innovations.

  • Customer Relationship & Market Intelligence
  • Service existing accounts, manage existing sales reps, develop new sales reps, secure orders, and establish new accounts by strategically planning and organizing daily sales activities.
  • Resolve customer complaints by investigating issues, developing solutions, preparing reports, and making recommendations to management.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitive landscape, and pricing strategies to enhance market positioning and identify potential growth areas.
  • Keep management informed by submitting regular activity and performance reports, including daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly/annual territory analysis.

  • Industry Engagement & Professional Development
  • Maintain up-to-date industry knowledge by attending trade shows, participating in professional societies, engaging in educational workshops, and reviewing industry publications.
  • Develop a strong understanding of international business cultures and effectively engage with professionals from diverse backgrounds.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Business, Marketing, Engineering, Materials Science, Supply Chain, or a related field preferred.
  • Approximately 7+ years of professional experience, depending on level; prior experience in B2B sales, account management, customer-facing roles, or industrial businesses is preferred.
  • Prior experience with para-aramid products or the aramid industry is preferred but not required.
  • Experience in advanced materials, chemicals, fibers, composites, defense, automotive, aerospace, or related industries is a plus.
  • Strong interest in developing a long-term career in sales, account management, and business development.
  • Highly proactive and responsive, with a demonstrated tendency to take ownership and follow through without waiting for detailed instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail, combined with the ability to recognize the broader commercial significance behind routine customer communications, orders, and requests.
  • Strong commercial mindset and instinct to identify and pursue opportunities to support or expand customer business.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and internal stakeholders.
  • High level of curiosity and willingness to learn technical products, customer applications, and industrial markets.
  • Strong organizational and analytical capabilities, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and follow through reliably.
  • Comfortable working in an international business environment and coordinating across different functions, cultures, and time zones.
  • Willingness to provide reasonable flexibility when time-sensitive customer or headquarters matters require attention outside of normal business hours.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with ERP systems is a plus.
