Description

Columbia Engineering is actively seeking a talented Civil Engineer. You will work with a team of engineers to perform work on various projects.


Essential Duties & Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing construction plans for projects involving storm pipe, culverts, water and sewer lines, spillways, and more
  • Grading, drainage calculations, hydrologic and hydraulic modeling
  • Creating roadway drainage plans
  • Site layout, plan development, grading, details, and erosion control design for parks

Requirements

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or Civil Engineering Technology
  • Computer knowledge/experience with Microsoft Office (Word/Excel)

Experience with the following software:

  • Autodesk Civil 3D
  • ArcMap or other GIS software
  • SWMM based models
  • Microstation/Inroads/Openroads

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

  • Working in a team environment to complete projects in budget and on schedule
  • Knowledge of applicable health and safety and environmental requirements
  • Can perform critical thinking tasks accurately and efficiently
  • Balance multiple project workloads and deadlines (time management skills)
  • Willingness to work collaboratively as a valued member of the team to serve our clients both internal and external
  • Ability to work semi-autonomously/remotely and still be productive
