Donation Acquisition Manager

Job Summary

The Donation Acquisition Manager is responsible for generating new donated goods through proactive outreach, partnerships, and community engagement efforts.

This role directly supports retail revenue growth by increasing donor counts and improving donation flow across True North Goodwill operations.

Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Develop and execute a donation acquisition strategy aligned with retail revenue goals.
  • Coordinate community donation drives (schools, employers, housing, events).
  • Train employees on donation process (donation door, events, etc.)
  • Manage trailer-based donation events and offsite collection efforts.
  • Identify and build partnerships with organizations to generate ongoing donation streams.
  • Track and report donor metrics, event performance, and cost per donor.
  • Collaborate with Retail, Transportation, and Marketing teams to support execution.
  • Oversee placement and productivity of donation bins and outreach channels.
  • Maintain all event materials, signage, and supplies.

Performance Expectations

  • Maintain consistent monthly and weekly donor generation targets.
  • Demonstrate measurable return on investment through donation growth.

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, field-based role.

Education and Experience

  • Experience in outreach, retail operations, nonprofit, or business development preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally.
