Job Description Summary

The Electrical Project Manager position is responsible for marketing, estimating, project administration, planning, scheduling and reporting for medium sized electrical construction projects. Hunt Electric works on Commercial, Health Care, Signal Work, and Industrial Mining projects in the Duluth area and on the Range. This position will be on site, project based in the Hibbing area.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Maintainexistinganddevelopnewcustomerrelationshipstosecurefuturebusiness.
  • Directandsuperviseservicetechnicians,generalforemen,foremenandtheircrewsinamanneras to comply with the contracts executed by Hunt Electric Corporation, union agreements, andallpoliciesandprocedures.
  • Manageassignedprojectsaseconomicallyaspossiblewhilerecognizingcommitmentto customersatisfaction,qualityworkmanshipandpositiveindustryimage.
  • Prepare,processandmaintainallfiles,correspondence,schedules,reports,andbillingnecessaryto performtheresponsibilitiesofthecontract.
  • Directtheplanningoftheprojectthroughpurchasing,engineering,sublettingandinstallation.
  • Whennecessary,workwithateamduringthebiddingprocess.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • Highschooldiplomaorequivalent.
  • Atleast5yearsofexperienceworkingasaprojectmanagerintheelectricalindustry.
  • Abilitytounderstanddesign/buildrequirementsaswellasthescopeofthecontractdocumentsissuedforthe electricalworkto beperformed.
  • Knowledgeofmaterials,methods,andthetools involvedintheelectricalindustry.
  • Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resourceallocation,leadershiptechniques,productionmethods,andthecoordinationofmanpowerandresources.
  • Abilitytodevelopspecificgoalsandplanstoprioritize,organizeandaccomplishthework.
  • Effectivelycommunicateverballyandinwriting.
  • Abilitytotrain,delegate,andcoordinateworkofAssistantProjectManager,Estimators,andotherteammembers.
