Housekeeper, Day Shift

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team in the Educational Services industry. As a Housekeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized environment for our students, faculty, and staff. Your attention to detail and ability to handle multiple priorities will be essential in ensuring that our facilities are always in top condition. You will be expected to follow through on assigned tasks and demonstrate initiative in identifying areas that require attention. Your effective communication skills will be crucial in working with other members of the team to ensure that our facilities are always clean and well-maintained.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds

• Competency in organizational and decision-making skills

• Effective communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in housekeeping or custodial work

• Experience operating cleaning equipment

• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and their proper use

• Ability to work flexible hours

Responsibilities:

• Clean and sanitize restrooms, classrooms, offices, and common areas

• Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor buffers, and carpet cleaners

• Restock supplies such as paper towels, toilet paper, and soap

• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel

• Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with students, faculty, and staff

Skills:

As a Housekeeper, you will use your organizational and decision-making skills to prioritize tasks and ensure that our facilities are always clean and well-maintained. Your ability to operate cleaning equipment and knowledge of cleaning chemicals will be essential in achieving this goal. Effective communication skills will be necessary in working with other members of the team to ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently. You will stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds, requiring physical stamina and strength.

Compensation:  $18.00/Hour to start
