Role Summary:
We have an existing enterprise codebase that supports production operations, reporting, automation, and our business systems. This position will develop, enhance, and maintain that codebase. The developer will not be building from scratch, but stepping into established architectures, improving what's already there, and building new features on top of it.
Skills:
- Strong problem solver who can think through issues analytically
- Can work independently, but also knows how to collaborate (as you will be talking to people on the floor, in management, and on the dev team)
- Communicates clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Detail-oriented and cares about the work quality
- Can juggle priorities when deadlines are real and things come up
- Wants to keep learning and growing, as our systems and tools are always evolving
Â
Day to day, that looks like:
- Developing, maintaining, and enhancing applications built in C# using .NET Framework and .NET Core
- Writing and optimizing SQL queries, stored procedures, and database performance
- Refactoring legacy code while adding new functionality
- Troubleshooting production issues and getting them resolved quickly. This is a manufacturing environment, downtime matters
- Working directly with operations, production, and management to understand what they need and turn that into working solutions
- Helping integrate our manufacturing systems, ERP, and shop-floor technologies
- Documenting what they build so the rest of the team can follow it
Â
This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced environment. Things break, priorities shift, and this person needs to be able to handle that without losing focus.
Â
Required:
- Strong C# experience , this is non-negotiable
- Solid .NET Framework / .NET Core experience
- Real SQL skills , not just basic queries, but stored procedures, indexing, and performance tuning
- Experience working in and improving existing codebases, not just greenfield projects
- Familiarity with REST APIs and service-based architecture
- Version control experience, preferably Git
Â
Nice to Have (Not Required):
- Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment
- Exposure to ERP or MIS systems
- Understanding of system integrations and data workflows
- Experience with reporting tools or automation
