Position Summary
The HR Generalist supports day-to-day human resources operations at the facility level and performs a wide range of professional HR functions, including employee relations, recruitment support, policy interpretation, training coordination, and employee wellness initiatives. This role partners closely with leadership and staff to promote best practices in human resources and to support the attraction, engagement, and retention of high-quality employees.
Reporting to senior HR leadership, the HR Generalist serves as a trusted resource to managers and employees, ensuring consistent application of HR policies and compliance with organizational standards.
Key Responsibilities
Support employment-related activities including recruitment, onboarding, and employee retention initiatives
Interpret and apply HR policies, procedures, and employment regulations
Provide guidance to managers and employees on HR-related matters
Assist with training coordination and employee development initiatives
Support employee wellness programs and organizational engagement efforts
Maintain accurate personnel records and utilize HRIS and computerized personnel databases
Collaborate with leadership to promote effective human resources practices
Ensure compliance with organizational policies and applicable regulations
Education & Credentials
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field OR
Equivalent experience of five (5) years working in the human resources field
Experience Requirements
Minimum Experience:
Five (5) years of experience working in the human resources field
Preferred Experience:
Previous HR Generalist experience in a healthcare setting
At least one (1) year of experience using computerized personnel databases and HRIS systems
