Teaching Assistant

Job Purpose/Description:

• Help prepare and maintain a safe laboratory enviroment.
• Help students learn the basics for Advanced Bacteriophage Genetics, both during labs and/or during review sessions.
• Preparing reagents and samples for laboratory experiments.
• Completing experiments during and between regularly scheduled class times.
• Assistance with managing large data sets and data entry.

Job Duties:

• Effectively communicate and problem-solve with students for various concepts.
• Weekly preparation of reagents and samples
• Weekly lab set up and experimentation
• Weekly lab attendance to assist students during experimentation

Required Qualifications:

• Must be a current CSS student and have completed Bio 3515

Preferred Qualifications:

• Working independently.
• Solid work ethic.
• Willingness to be flexible as needed.
• Being detail-oriented.
