As a Maintenance Technician at Heirloom, you will play a key role in both field execution and team support. This position is designed for a highly capable self starter who can handle some advanced repairs, make sound decisions in the field, support our construction crew, and help uphold our quality standards. Lead Maintenance Technician Minimum Qualifications:
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license.
• Must have a clean driving record.
• Must have reliable, insured transportation for daily use.
• Must have the ability to pass a MN background check.

Lead Maintenance Technician Key Responsibilities:
• Perform maintenance repairs and advanced troubleshooting at properties as requested, taking ownership of more complex or higher-priority issues.
• Accurately diagnose problems, determine appropriate next steps, and complete work in a way that reduces callbacks and repeat issues.
• Maintain organized and accurate records of work completed, materials used, expenses, and relevant findings in the field.
• Communicate clearly with residents, team members, coordinators, and leadership to ensure strong workflow, proper expectations, and positive experiences.
• Support and assist other technicians through shared problem-solving, field guidance, and day-to-day leadership.
• Help identify risks, deferred maintenance concerns, or scope changes early so that small problems stay small and the right decisions can be made quickly.
• Uphold company standards for quality, documentation, communication, professionalism, and follow-through on every job.
• Demonstrate initiative by continuing to expand technical abilities, asking thoughtful questions, and helping improve the overall strength of the team.

• Takes ownership of jobs from diagnosis through completion, ensuring work is finished thoroughly and communicated clearly.

• Maintains accurate, timely documentation, including clear notes, materials used, and relevant field updates.
• Supports other technicians through shared problem-solving, field guidance, and a positive team-first attitude.
• Communicates professionally with residents, coordinators, and leadership, especially when conditions change or additional decisions are needed.
• Upholds Heirloom’s standards by doing the right thing, doing it once and doing it right, and over-communicating when needed.
Maintenance Technician Key Requirements:
• Strong maintenance or construction experience, with the ability to independently handle a wide variety of repair types.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Personal vehicle and tools required for daily use.
• Excellent troubleshooting and decision-making abilities.
• Strong organizational and documentation skills, including effective use of related apps and systems.
• Ability to work independently while also providing support, direction, and leadership to other team members.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to remain calm, professional, and solutions-focused in the field.
• Demonstrated ability to take ownership of the full outcome of a job, from diagnosis through completion.
Physical & Mental Requirements:
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Comfortable using ladders, hand tools, and power tools.
• Ability to work in basements, attics, tight spaces, and outdoor conditions year-round.
• Ability to stay focused while troubleshooting complex issues.
• Ability to interact professionally with residents, even in stressful or unexpected situations.
• Ability to manage daily responsibilities independently while maintaining strong communication with the team.
• Ability to make sound decisions in the field and adapt when job conditions change.
Work Schedule
• Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts
Schedules may vary based on operational needs but maintain a consistent weekly structure.

Pay Structure:
• Hourly
• Full Time
• Weekly pay via direct deposit
