Job Summary

Performs activities necessary for the efficient manufacture and delivery of Nordson products. The requirement is to have a flexible work force that can respond appropriately to changing customer requirements. Duties will involve a variety of tasks but not limited to those listed below.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Processing receipts of incoming parts in a timely manner
  • Stocking of incoming parts for designated area
  • Pick, pack and process all parts in an organized and efficient manner in preparation for shipment
  • Maintain accurate control over designated inventory area
  • Trouble shoot missing/incorrect parts
  • Parts preparation, labeling, movement and tracking
  • Ability to use a computer
  • Attention to detail
  • Follow all safety and housekeeping procedures
  • Conformance to distribution and administrative procedures
  • Offer enhancement ideas to existing process
  • Reliability — on time arrival and departures; open to consider overtime when the business requests this
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team or as an individual

Education and Experience Requirements

  • High School or GED

  • TECHNICAL ABILITY - effectively apply written/verbal instructions from procedures, documents, blueprints/schematics etc. Apply math skills appropriate for the assigned task
  • ABILITY TO LEARN - assimilating and applying new, job related information in a timely manner
  • ADAPTABILITY - maintaining effectiveness in changing environments, assignments, responsibilities and/or priorities
  • ABILITY TO WORK WITH OTHERS - cooperating with co-workers toward the successful accomplishment of the task assigned.  Ability to accept and give constructive criticism

  • Knowledge of SAP
  • Forklift experience

  • Knowledge of packaging processes
