WAREHOUSE DISPATCH

The Dispatcher is responsible to plan, schedule, coordinate, and monitor the flow of products throughout the complete production cycle. Provides timely planning and scheduling of warehouse work orders to achieve both internal financial goals and customer delivery dates. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Plans and monitors all warehouse processes for accuracy, efficiency, and on-time completion.
• Receive inbound shipments and accurately prepare and tender outbound shipments.
• Communicates with warehouse personnel to verify accurate staging and delivery of loads.
• Ensures work orders are accurately completed. 
• Works directly with customers on the receipt and processing of transportation requirement requests.
• Develops and strengthens relationships with drivers.
• Tracks and traces shipments from pickup through delivery to ensure accurate and up-to-date shipment information is being provided to customers.
• Ensures customers’ expectations are met or exceeded by completing accurate and timely scheduling/dispatching of trucks.
• Determine daily shipping needs for the facility.
• Coordinates with warehouse employees on the receiving, packaging, and loading/unloading. 
• Assemble work orders that makeup outgoing loads. (Create BOLs, match PO)
• Dispatch approved carriers and confirmed load date/time and delivery date/time.
• Monitor loads for pickup and delivery.
• Match proof of deliveries and approver of carrier invoices. Validate all charges.
• Maintain customer proof of delivery and invoices.
• Work with inventory control to optimize warehouse space and minimize costs.
• Prioritizes work through a defined protocol of process criticality and equipment redundancy.
• Utilize ERP system to auto-generate shipping/receiving work orders. 
• Reviews work orders for accuracy and clarity.
• Tracks all work orders and keeps the requestor informed of progress.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Direct experience with ERP or MRP software and databases. 
• Experience using Microsoft Office Suite, such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
• Ability to interact well with internal and external customers.
