Where You Will Work 

Our Henderson mine and mill are an hour drive apart – separated by the Continental Divide and a 15-mile conveyor system (10 miles underground). The Henderson mine is an underground molybdenum mining operation located approximately 42 miles west of Denver and 10 miles west of Empire. It has been in operation since 1976 and today consists of a large block-cave, underground mining complex feeding a concentrator with a current capacity of approximately 32,000 metric tons per day. It can produce approximately 15 million pounds of molybdenum per year. The Henderson mill is located 15 miles west of the mine, between Dillon and Kremmling.

Description

Semi-skilled employees who operate at least one piece of heavy equipment such as haul trucks, water trucks, and rubber-tired dozers. Employees will work under minimal supervision in environments where the primary objective is safe production.

Operate heavy equipment
Communicate via 2-way radio and computerized dispatching system
Assist in mine support activities as necessary
Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

Mobile equipment operations experience
At least six (6) months in trade

Preferred

High School diploma or GED

Criteria/Conditions

Ability to understand and apply verbal and written work and safety-related instructions and procedures given in English
Ability to communicate in English with respect to job assignments, job procedures, and applicable safety standards
Must be able to work in a potentially stressful environment
This is a Safety sensitive role
Work is performed in a mine or manufacturing plant setting, which may include exposure to extremes in temperature and humidity, moving mechanical parts, risk of electrical shock, toxic chemicals, explosives, fumes or airborne particles
Occasionally may be required to lift up to fifty (50) pounds during the course of the work day
May be required to work rotating shifts in a 24/7/365 operation
Personal protective equipment is required when performing work in a mine, outdoor, manufacturing or plant environment, including hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, rubber steel-toe boots, protective clothing, gloves and any other protective equipment as required

What We Offer You

The estimated pay range for this role is currently $25.00 - $32.00/hour. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance. More details will be shared during the hiring process.
