Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

MATERIAL HANDLER

  • Receive, store, transfer and ship raw materials, inter-plant shipments, etc.
  • Enter inventory transactions via Syteline, Factory Track, FLOW, etc. systems
  • Movement of trailers using “Jockey Truck” on New Pig property.
  • Maintaining documentation files, records, etc.
  • Assist with manufacturing shift material flow/handling
  • Work closely with manufacturing, inventory control and cost accounting in managing inventories
  • Participate in cycle counts, inventory counts, reconciliations, etc.

GENERAL

  • Perform all other related duties as assigned or directed
  • Adherence to all safety, quality and ISO specifications
  • Attention to detail, accuracy, and thoroughness in all tasks & duties
  • Demonstrate a commitment to all tasks assigned
  • Actively participate on process improvement/continuous improvement (Lean Mfg) teams
  • Offer ideas/suggestions for process improvement efforts
  • Help create a positive work environment
  • Support and follow company policies and procedures

Minimum Qualifications:

The successful candidate will possess the following knowledge, skills and/or abilities:

  • Possess or obtain fork and clamp truck certification
  • Able to operate “Jockey Truck” (or be trained) for moving trailers in/out of dock locations
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Math skills - ability to perform basic math functions and conversions
  • Physical activity - lift up to 30 pounds continuously and up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • Quality System - Capable of retrieving and applying all quality information
  • Knowledge and experience with New Pig computer systems and PC use
  • Ability to work overtime as necessary
