About the Role
The Building Engineer is responsible for providing reliable, professional, and cost-effective maintenance support across multiple Thomas Park鈥搈anaged properties. This role focuses on ensuring building systems operate smoothly, addressing maintenance needs promptly, and delivering a high level of service to tenants and property stakeholders.
Job Responsibilities
Maintenance of Systems
路聽聽聽聽聽聽 Maintain, test, and replace parts and components in plumbing, electrical, and heating systems.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽 Implement the company鈥檚 Preventive Maintenance Program.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽 Check boiler/HVAC components daily, read gauges for proper levels, and notify the Manager of any malfunctions.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽 Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure system efficiency.
聽
Facility and Grounds Management
路聽聽聽聽聽聽 Evaluate and maintain facility and grounds, meeting operational standards.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽 Preserve and enhance curb appeal, including property conditions and appearance.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽 Maintain cleanliness and organization in areas such as the shop, boiler room, trash room, and storage areas.

Safety and Standards
路聽聽聽聽聽聽 Uphold fire and safety standards for all areas of the facility and grounds.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽 Be on-call after hours and weekends to address emergencies promptly.

Tenant Service
路聽聽聽聽聽聽 Handle tenant service requests within the prescribed timetable set by the Manager.
聽
Expenditure Control
路聽聽聽聽聽聽 Assist the Manager in controlling maintenance expenditures.
聽
Supervision and Reporting
路聽聽聽聽聽聽 Supervise all service providers to ensure the quality of work and promptly report any issues to the Manager.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽 Report the arrival and departure times of all service providers to the Manager.
聽
Attendance and Physical Demands
路聽聽聽聽聽聽 Maintain excellent attendance.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽 Fulfill certain physical demands, such as lifting up to 50 lbs., required for the essential functions of the position.

Experience
路聽聽聽聽聽聽 Possess a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in building maintenance and operations.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽 Demonstrated expertise in maintaining and troubleshooting building services
路聽聽聽聽聽聽 Experience in supervising service providers, ensuring quality work, and addressing issues promptly.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽 Familiarity with controlling maintenance expenditures and optimizing cost-efficient solutions.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽 Proficient in routine preventive maintenance and handling tenant service requests.
