Pursue Relentless Improvement   About the Job CDS Logistics & Home Services is seeking an entry level professional with experience in electrical or mechanical work for a Field PM Technician role. The PM Technician will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance, and basic repairs to Automated Standby Generators reporting directly to the Master Electrician.  Our primary goal is to ensure excellent operational standards are met and to maintain high customer satisfaction.   Preventative Maintenance Technician In this role you will work at different residential job site locations supporting CDS Home Services Customers by performing routine preventative maintenance on their in-home generators. You can anticipate this role to focus on customer service, technical and mechanical aptitude with the ability to trouble shoot issues in the field, and strong communication regarding daily deliverables with the office team. The right candidate will have the ability to develop and grow their technical and electrical skills and experience and will have the ability to grow within the Home Services Department. Work independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating efforts with your stakeholders.   Essential Job Functions: Strong technical aptitude of mechanical or electrical systems. Time management skills to manage daily schedule.  Performing PM Service for generators with the highest possible standards to help insure the company’s goal of 95% renewal rates.  Completing warranty work on generators as well as filling out all corresponding paper work to insure proper billing.  Consistently provide accurate diagnostics by using proper techniques and methods provided by the manufacture’s standards. Keeping company vehicle clean and organized and having routine maintenance completed on vehicle when needed. Working with Generac and GE tech support to provide the best possible outcome for our customers. Maintain high service level as measured by Trust Pilot at or above 9.8 Survey results. QualificationsQualifications Valid Driver’s License (company work vehicle will be provided) High School Diploma or GED 1 year or preventative maintenance or electrical work Strong communication skills (written, oral and listening) Ability to Learn basic knowledge of generator and electrical theory Aggressive in problem solving with excellent organizational skills Displays a high degree of tact and diplomacy when speaking with clients, customers and subcontractors Poses a willingness to learn while working independently   Preferred Qualifications Experience with residential or commercial electric work Experience working on generators 2-3 years’ experience with maintenance & mechanical work   Supervisory Responsibility This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.   Competencies Technical Ability Electrical & Mechanical Aptitude Communication. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.   Travel This position works in the field at different residential job locations and requires travel to different job locations each day throughout the state of MD and in the surrounding area. (some work located in DC, Virginia and West Virginia, Pennsylvania).   Work Environment This job operates in a home office environment and in the field on the road and at warehouse facilities throughout the Unites States. This role routinely uses office equipment such as computers, scanners, copiers, telephones, and occasionally uses warehouse equipment where trained and certified.
