Basic Function or Position Summary:
Operates a multi-line telephone system to handle incoming calls, identify the purpose of 聽the call, and route callers to the correct staff members. Welcoming customers with a 聽friendly demeanor, guiding them, accordingly, addressing inquiries, and creating a 聽pleasant atmosphere. Undertaking general office tasks and carrying out assigned clerical 聽duties. . Hours per week 35: Monday - Friday 8:30am to 4:30pm. Salary $16.32/hourly 聽

Requirements
Position Responsibilities and Specific Duties:
聽*Greet customers and visitors with a positive, helpful attitude
聽*Upholds workplace security by maintaining visitor logs.聽
聽*Determines nature of business, and connects visitors to appropriate personnel 聽
聽*Answers phones in a professional manner, routing calls as necessary 聽
聽*Ensures messages are accurate and passed to appropriate staff members in a timely 聽manner 聽
聽*Answers basic questions about organization and provides callers with needed 聽information 聽
聽*Manages customer flow through Central Intake by ensuring all 聽customers are scheduled and routed through intake聽
聽*Manages conference room availability 聽
聽*Takes inventory of resource supplies and brochures; restock as needed 聽
聽*Support translation for Spanish-speaking customers using bilingual staff or Google 聽translate 聽
聽*Ready out-going mail for pick-up 聽
聽*Receive deliveries, sort, and distribute incoming mail 聽
聽*Maintains cleanliness of reception and common areas at all times following reception 聽checklist聽
聽*Operates standard office equipment on a regular basis including fax machine, copy 聽machine, scanner, computer and postage 聽聽聽聽meter 聽
聽*Copy or scan documents as requested by customers 聽
聽*Utilizes basic computer and word processing skills to prepare documents and reports, 聽including copy counts, postage meter and 聽聽receipts 聽
聽*Promotes safety and security by maintaining customer and staff sign in and out sheets 聽
聽*Reads and understands evacuation procedures and the duties of the receptionist 聽
聽*Attends monthly Navigation and Front Desk meetings 聽
聽*Promotes agency mission. 聽
聽*Maintains confidentiality and complies with the code of ethics. 聽
聽*Maintains consistent professional customer service. 聽
聽*Job performance incorporates integrated service delivery model while promoting 聽self-sufficiency. 聽

Knowledge, Skills Required:
聽聽聽聽*High School Diploma or GED and 2 years of experience in customer service 聽required, Associate degree preferred 聽
聽聽聽聽*Bilingual preferred 聽
聽聽聽聽*Strong interpersonal, communication and customer relations skills 聽
聽聽聽聽*Organized and resourceful 聽
聽聽聽聽*Familiarity with multiline telephone systems, scanners, copiers, printers, and 聽fax machine. 聽
聽聽聽聽*Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Drive, Google Docs and strong typing 聽skills 聽
聽聽聽聽*Multi-tasking ability required聽
