Position Overview:
The Behavioral Health Specialist supports the PHP milieu by facilitating therapeutic skills groups, self-monitoring and activity groups, providing therapeutic meal support at mealtimes and snacks, assisting clients in acquiring skills to manage their eating disorder, maintaining a recovery-oriented environment, and providing general support and assistance
Schedule:Â
- Full Time, 1.0 FTE - 40hrs/wk, working (4) 10hr shifts per week.Â
- Shifts can be scheduled for either 9:00 am-7:00 pm or 7:00am to 5:00pm depending on site need.Â
- Every other Saturday or Sunday

Compensation Disclosure
Starting hourly between $21-25
Final Compensation offered will be within pay range based on qualifications/experience met for the position
How Behavioral Health Specialists empower recovery:
- Facilitates therapy groups including skills groups, self-monitoring groups, and experiential activity groups which may include art activities, music, journaling, mindfulness, relaxation, and movement
- Participates in therapeutic supported meals and snacks
- Contributes to the creation and maintenance of a recovery-oriented therapeutic environment
- Provide resident support and in-the-moment skills coaching
- Participates in treatment team, mini team, therapy team, supervision, and/or case consultation meetings and seeks supervision when needed
- Completes clinical documentation in compliance with The Emily Program and Veritas policies and regulatory standard
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in mental health-related field required. If degree is not in a mental health-related field, a degree in another field and equivalent experience required.
- Must have valid driver’s license and be authorized to drive.
- Previous direct mental health experience preferred
