Position Overview:

The Behavioral Health Specialist supports the PHP milieu by facilitating therapeutic skills groups, self-monitoring and activity groups, providing therapeutic meal support at mealtimes and snacks, assisting clients in acquiring skills to manage their eating disorder, maintaining a recovery-oriented environment, and providing general support and assistance

Schedule:

Full Time, 1.0 FTE - 40hrs/wk, working (4) 10hr shifts per week.
Shifts can be scheduled for either 9:00 am-7:00 pm or 7:00am to 5:00pm depending on site need.
Every other Saturday or Sunday

Compensation Disclosure

Starting hourly between $21-25

Final Compensation offered will be within pay range based on qualifications/experience met for the position

How Behavioral Health Specialists empower recovery:

Facilitates therapy groups including skills groups, self-monitoring groups, and experiential activity groups which may include art activities, music, journaling, mindfulness, relaxation, and movement
Participates in therapeutic supported meals and snacks
Contributes to the creation and maintenance of a recovery-oriented therapeutic environment
Provide resident support and in-the-moment skills coaching
Participates in treatment team, mini team, therapy team, supervision, and/or case consultation meetings and seeks supervision when needed
Completes clinical documentation in compliance with The Emily Program and Veritas policies and regulatory standard

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in mental health-related field required. If degree is not in a mental health-related field, a degree in another field and equivalent experience required.
Must have valid driver’s license and be authorized to drive.
Previous direct mental health experience preferred
