POSITION OVERVIEWÂ
This live-in position serves as a community builder for Dunwoody’s Housing Program. Resident Assistants (RAs) will work each week to plan events, upkeep the community spaces, and serve as a liaison between residents and the Residence Life Coordinator (RLC). In the evenings, RAs will take turns carrying an on-call phone so that students can make contact in case of emergencies. Above all else, RAs will work together to create an inclusive, engaging, and effective living environment for all Dunwoody Students.Â

POSITIONÂ RESPONSIBILITIES/FUNCTIONSÂ
Event PlanningÂ
Brainstorm creative events that will be interesting, helpful, and enjoyable for housing residentsÂ
Archive all files related to housing eventsÂ
Â
Resident InteractionsÂ
Work to foster an inclusive and amicable community by creating positive interactions with residents whenever possibleÂ
Act as a knowledgeable resource on the housing application process, housing policy, and the neighborhood of Stadium VillageÂ
Recognize concerning behavior in residents and relay important information to the RLC so that intervention can be provided where necessaryÂ
Provide tours of the housing complex to potential residents and their family members, as neededÂ
Â
Miscellaneous Duties:Â Â
Assist student affairs staff with Resident Move-In and OrientationÂ
Ability to keep student information confidentialÂ
Complete health and safety inspections of all residential unitsÂ
Report any housing policy violations or unhygienic living situations to the RLCÂ
Attend Housing Staff MeetingsÂ
Assist the RLC in conducting student check-outsÂ

QUALIFICATIONSÂ
Required Qualifications:Â
Ability to work 15-20Â hours per weekÂ
Enroll in a minimum of one course at Dunwoody Technical CollegeÂ
Ability to arrive at the housing complex within 30 minutes while serving on-callÂ
Ability to attend staff housing meetingsÂ
Availability on evenings and weekends as needed for hosting residential eventsÂ
Preferred Qualifications:Â
Creative mindset when planning events, engaging with residents, and solving problemsÂ
Clear communication skills that will be utilized in event marketing and housing toursÂ
A drive to be well-informed about Dunwoody and the resources it provides to studentsÂ
An interest in socializing with current and potential residentsÂ
