Job DetailsJob Location: KFS TRUCKING - Dupo, IL 62239Salary Range: $22.00 - $25.00 HourlyJob Title:                           Truck Spotter / Truck Sanitation (Full-Time)   FLSA Status:                    Non-Exempt (Hourly)   Pay Range:                       $23.00- $25.00   Schedule:                          Full Time   Department:                  Facility Maintenance   Reports To:                     Director of EHS   Truck Spotting / Sanitation of Trucks and Trailers Scope / Overview: The ability to move trucks and trucks/trailer combination vehicles to facilitate putting backhauls / returns into the door, unloading pallets and milk crates, breaking down center divides and bulkheads to accomplish getting box trucks and trailers cleaned, fueled, and spotted for reloading.  To set up our equipment and drivers for successful delivery of products to our customers. Training: Safety, GHS, proper use of chemicals per manufacturer’s recommendations.  SOPs, SSOPs, DOT requirements, ELD usage, etc.  As required.   Attributes: Ability to Drive Class A and B equipment forward and back. Backing combination vehicles into docks Be Organized Good Time Management Proactive Team Player Can do attitude Self-motivated Initiative Thorough Attention to detail     Responsibilities and Duties Assigned: Ability to follow rules and procedures, Standard Operating Procedures, and Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices to accomplish the cleanliness and sanitation of assigned areas in manner to achieve the expected goals Using chemicals in accordance with manufacturer approved guidelines. Cleanliness and Sanitation of Inside Trailers / Box is Priority This will be accomplished twice weekly for each piece of equipment Using Hot water for interior cleaning of the trailer when possible Using Soap and Sanitizer in the proper concentrations Following Proper Documentation – This principle applies to everything You will enter the full equipment ID# for tracking purposes – FDA audits Enter your user ID / clock in number Next Glass and Headlights Then Graphics and Logos of the Trailers and Boxes – This includes the back door. Exterior of the Trucks  tires and wheels 1x weekly General Cleaning of the Interior of Cab – Drivers should be keeping cabs trash free and tidy.  If this is not happening, it needs to be reported. 1x weekly Continuous Improvement of the cleaning process Daily Cleanliness and Sanitation of the truck washroom Truck Washing Equipment                 * Organizing and maintaining the room and equipment                 * Proper labeling of all chemicals Daily: Cleanliness of the outside lane of truck wash Proper Lubrication of the Truck Wash Equipment and hoses The expectation is that when given parameters and goals that you will accomplish those tasks Currently a combination of 22 to 27 plus vehicles a day This works out to an average of three per hour. To verify cleanliness and sanitation of assigned areas. Put trucks in dock doors / take them out Fuel Equipment Wash Transportation Equipment – Goal is to wash three tractor / trailer combos per hour.  Food Safety is everyone’s responsibility.  Sanitary Transportation regulations FDA. Keep Premises, Grounds, yard, and lot in a clean and safe working order – Nails and debris picked up, magnet yard.  Safety is everyone’s responsibility. Hook up and Drop Trailers – Make sure Dolly legs are all the way up. Facilitate equipment moves for sales, equipment moves, maintenance. Rescue Drivers as needed Proper precooling of equipment per FDA regulations. CDL – take vehicles to various service providers, pick up equipment. Rescue Drivers Inspect equipment for necessary Maintenance To report incidents of broken, damaged, or missing equipment. Backhauls Minor repairs, jump starts, reefer priming, lights, fuses, unsticking frozen brakes. In addition: Cleaning up and picking up trash outside – grass, pond, streets, around building, parking lots, truck lot, cul-de-sac Empty trash Removal of pallets and milk crates from trucks and trailers Stow bulkheads and center divides trucks and trailers Cleanliness of docks and dock pits Moving vehicles with backhauls into the dock as required Interior Building and warehouse cleanliness Cleaning truck yard Snow removal Precooling of equipment Verifying proper reefer setting Fill in where needed in case of call offs / personnel on vacation These must align: OOS service equipment Proper Equipment to Route Sleeper Day Cab Shuttle trailer Lift Gate Trailer Stinger Cord – Did you check tractor / trailer 48/53’ trailer 36’ trailer OTR routes Night routes Do interior lights work Safety issues Food Safety Reefer settings / Pre Cooling Reefer Works Correctly Sanitary loading practices Do exterior lights work Other Duties as assigned.
