Efficiently sort, handle, and stock freight. Meets required productivity and accuracy standards. Follows all preferred work methods, safety policies and procedures per company guidelines. Ensures the work area is safe and reports any unsafe conditions and/or acts immediately. Obtain supplies required to perform the work and prepare for operations. Puts on all required Personal Protective Equipment and Safety Gear. Works from receiving sheets, computer print-out, established procedures and practices, written and/or verbal instructions. Inspects items for damage, perform temperature and quality checks and take appropriate action as needed. Performs general housekeeping duties in work area as needed. Secures all equipment and complete all necessary paperwork at the end of the shift. Performs other related duties as assigned.   Qualifications:                  Must be able to be certified on all equipment used on shift by Kuna Foodservice. Must be at least 18 years of age. Must be able to read, write and communicate in English. Must have sufficient reasoning capabilities to solve practical problems (Ex.: Is product commercially acceptable? Is this the product the customer ordered?) Must have basic math skills. Must be able to work in a variety of temperatures. (From -10 to 55+ degrees) Must be able to work overtime, as required. Work Environment: This position works in a warehouse setting, with routine exposure to extreme temperatures (to -10 degrees) during the workday. This role routinely uses standard warehouse equipment such as riding forklifts, stand up forklift, hand truck, pallet jacks and box cutters.   Physical Demands: Continuously during the workday: Grasps and/or manipulates objects by quickly moving on hand, a hand and arm together or two hands Lift / Push Carry 51 to 100 lbs. Bend / Stoop / Twist / Kneel Balance / Ride on Stand-up pallet jack Frequently during the workday: Lift / Push / Carry 0 to 50 lbs. Reach / Lift above the shoulder 0 to 50 lbs. Input data on hand-held device     Required Education and Experience: High school diploma or GED, or equivalent years of experience.
