This role provides direct supervision, structure, and emotional support to youth with mental and behavioral health needs while helping maintain a safe, stable, and home-like environment. Key Responsibilities Provide direct supervision and behavior management of children Ensure the safety, well-being, and daily care of youth Respond to crises using approved intervention techniques Utilize proper physical restraint techniques when necessary to prevent harm Plan and facilitate group discussions and recreational activities Transport children to school, medical appointments, and approved activities Purchase food, plan menus, and prepare meals Perform general housekeeping and laundry duties Instruct and monitor personal hygiene and physical health Dispense supplies such as clothing, toiletries, and linens Monitor, document, and ensure availability of prescribed medications Maintain accurate documentation and daily records Attend required staff meetings and treatment team meetings Complete all onboarding and required annual trainings Participate in referral interviews, intakes, and fundraising activities as needed Report facility or safety concerns promptly Perform other duties as assigned What We’re Looking For Reliable, patient, and emotionally resilient individuals Team-oriented professionals committed to youth development Ability to remain calm and effective in high-stress situations Commitment to agency policies, procedures, and child safety standards QualificationsMinimum Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required Two (2) years of experience working with youth with mental/behavioral health needs (preferably in a residential setting) OR a Bachelor’s degree in a related mental health field Valid Driver’s License Background history free of offenses listed on the Affidavit of Good Moral Character Ability to serve as a positive role model and mentor Strong teamwork and communication skills Ability to provide consistent structure and appropriate discipline Ability to create and maintain a safe, supportive, and home-like environment Why Join Our Team Mission-driven, meaningful work Supportive and collaborative environment Opportunity to make a lasting difference in the lives of youth Apply today to be part of a team dedicated to helping youth grow, heal, and succeed.   Please see the link below to the new Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse Education and Awareness website. This site was implemented under the directive of House Bill 531 (2025).
