Position Overview

Kiewit Industrial District is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager (MEP focus) to lead large-scale projects exceeding $500 million within Advanced Technology Facilities (ATF), including data centers, semiconductor facilities, and battery manufacturing plants.

In this role, you will drive project success from preconstruction through execution, leading cross-functional teams across estimating, engineering, procurement, and construction. You will play a critical role in developing win strategies, conceptual estimates, and execution plans that ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities include partnering with estimating teams to develop competitive and accurate pricing, influencing design through constructability and value management, coordinating with stakeholders and trade partners, and supporting proposal development for complex EPC and self-perform work.

The Kiewit Industrial District provides direct-hire construction services for complex industrial and mission-critical projects across North America. Our portfolio includes:

Location

This is a full-time, project-based role supporting projects across North America.

  • Travel and site presence required for project duration (2-3 years)
  • Assignments may vary across the U.S. and Canada
  • Relocation assistance or per diem options provided for projects

Responsibilities

  • Lead project execution by owning scope, schedule, and budget from development through construction
  • Provide direction to estimators and engineers during preconstruction and collaborative delivery phases
  • Participate in design coordination and task force meetings, ensuring constructability and execution alignment
  • Develop and manage project schedules, including sequencing and work breakdown structures
  • Analyze drawings and specifications to identify risks, opportunities, and cost-saving solutions
  • Partner with project controls and finance teams to ensure projects remain on schedule and within budget
  • Support business development and proposal efforts, contributing to win strategies and pricing approaches
  • Lead subcontractor/trade partner selection and manage performance relationships
  • Communicate project status and key updates to executive leadership, clients, and stakeholders
  • Foster a culture of safety, quality, collaboration, and innovation across all project teams

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate or graduate degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related discipline
  • OR equivalent experience (12+ years in lieu of degree)
  • 8+ years of Project Management experience in large-scale engineering or construction projects
  • Experience delivering projects in Advanced Technology Facilities, data centers, power, or industrial sectors
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and lead conceptual estimating efforts
  • Experience managing matrixed teams across engineering, estimating, and project controls
  • Strong understanding of project controls, cost management, and scheduling principles
  • Proven track record of delivering projects on time, on budget, and with minimized risk
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Demonstrated ability to lead in complex environments with strong attention to detail, adaptability, and resilience.

Base Compensation: $179,000/yr - $188,000/yr
