The ACAA’s Operations Supervisor - AGCwill report to the General Aviation Duty Manager ensures that the conditions and safety of the airport is maintained in compliance and preparedness with local operational standards and regulations established by the Federal Government.Â
Here is how the Operations Supervisor - AGCwill help:Â Â Â
Conduct runway, taxiway, rampand perimeter inspections with regard tomaintaining a safe, efficient, and orderly operation in compliance with existing regulationsÂ
Monitor weather conditions and forecasts, take all precautionary measures necessary to prevent dangerous or hazardous conditions that may prevail during inclement weather eventsÂ
Coordinate the dissemination of notice to airmen (NOTAMs) and field condition reports (FICONs) via the FAA NOTAM ManagerÂ
Assist in supervisingairfield activities andensure compliance with airport and federal regulationsÂ
Coordinate with FAA Air Traffic Control any activities affecting the air operations areaÂ
Respond to on-site emergencies and implement emergency/disaster procedures to minimize risk and damageÂ
Maintain direct contact with upper-level managementin the event of emergencies, unusual situations, or serious events that may occur requiring guidance or assistanceÂ
Conduct routine safety inspections and audits of the airport facility and report any issues to managementÂ
Determine the need for closure/opening of the airfield or portion thereof for routine maintenance, snow removal operations, emergencies, and other operational needsÂ
Provide periodic fee collection and utility meter reports to the Finance DepartmentÂ
Administer the airport access control and credentialing programÂ
Monitorvehicle/pedestrian gate activity through closed-circuit television(CCTV) systemÂ
Report, document, and/or resolve problems or incidents on airport propertyÂ
Maintain a daily log of events and inspection reports for your assigned shiftÂ
Performs other related tasks as assigned or requiredÂ

Requirements to apply for role of Operations Supervisor - AGCare:Â
Bachelor's degree from four-year accredited college or university in Aviation Management or related field; or Associate’s degree and Two-Three (2-3) years related experienceÂ
Possess, or obtain prior to employment, a valid driver’s license. Note: License must be maintained throughout employmentÂ

We also expect that candidates will demonstrate the following knowledge, skills, and abilities in most cases:Â Â Â
Working knowledge of FAA FAR Parts 139 and 77Â
Extensive working knowledge of FAA airfield radio proceduresÂ
Skill in the simultaneous use of several radio frequencies sufficient to be able to provide andreceive information from airport, FAA, and other personnelÂ
Knowledge of snow removal and ice control operationsÂ
Skill in prioritizing and coordinating simultaneous activities to ensure effective and efficient completion of the work assignmentÂ
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with numerous variables in situations where only limited standardization existsÂ
Considerable ability toanalyze situations quickly and objectively, and to determine a proper course of action during emergenciesÂ
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, representatives of other agencies, airport tenants and the general publicÂ

CONDITIONSÂ
Exposure to general office noise as well as sounds associated with equipment and radio alarms. Exposure to lights, noise, Aviation fuels and chemicals associated with aircraft, heavy equipment, snow and ice control. Works both inside and outside regardless of weather conditions. Regularly works near moving mechanical parts as well as aircraft. This position is assigned rotating shifts based on a 24-hour, 7 days a week work schedule, including holidays and may at times be the only management staff on the premises. Operations supervisors are subject to remain on duty beyond the scheduled shift and/or are required to report to work as needed for operational necessity. This position may be assigned on-call status on an intermittent or regularly scheduled basis.Â
