We are seeking a friendly, detail-oriented Optician to join our team in Pinckneyville. Job Summary: The Optician will assist patients with selecting and fitting eyewear, perform frame adjustments, and educate patients about lens options and proper eyewear care. This role also involves maintaining inventory, processing orders, and ensuring excellent customer service. Key Responsibilities: Greet and assist patients in selecting frames and lenses based on prescription and personal preferences. Take accurate measurements for proper lens fitting, including PD and segment height. Educate patients on lens types, coatings, and frame materials. Adjust and repair frames as needed. Process eyewear orders and verify prescriptions for accuracy. Maintain and organize frame displays and inventory. Provide outstanding customer service and support the clinic team as needed. Qualifications: Previous optical experience preferred but not required – we are willing to train the right candidate. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. High school diploma or equivalent required.
