Position Summary Â
The Custom Installer is responsible for the installation of built in household appliances, such as refrigerators, dishwashers, cooktops, and wall ovens in customers' homes.Â
Essential functions
- Observes and tests operation of appliances, such as refrigerators, cook tops, and wall ovens, and makes initial installation adjustments accordingly.Â
- Disassembles and re-installs existing kitchen cabinets and assembles and installs prefabricated kitchen cabinets in conjunction with appliance installation.Â
- Advises customers about use and care of appliance and provides them with emergency service number.Â
- Uninstalls existing appliances if necessary
- Level and installs new appliances
- Hooks up water to dishwasher and gas or electric to wall ovens and cooktops
- Makes sure appliances are secure and level
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent education required
- Previous experience in appliance installation
- Excellent customer service skills
- Valid driver’s license
- Background check complete
- Ability to physically carry 50+ lbs
