Job Purpose or Objective(s): The Budget Analyst, Senior will provide analysis of financial and operational performance data to ensure management is using best practices in their operations and making informed decisions. You will report to the Accounting Director.
Primary Tasks:
1. You will review current performance trends to support preparation and development of the annual budget models.
2. Work with management to ensure our plans are incorporated into budgets.
3. Oversee the development of reporting tools for department heads and managers to evaluate financial performance, comparing actual results to budgets and forecasts and provide trend analysis.
4. Review work generated by the operational analysts to ensure accuracy and proper interpretation of data.
5. You will provide weekly, monthly, quarterly, annual and ad hoc consolidated reporting on results for budgeting.
6. Identify and research trends that require further review and analysis.
7. Review monthly reporting packages for each department, identify areas that need further investigation before distribution, and communicate findings to appropriate company personnel.
8. Provide trend analysis on current and prior year expenses and forecast future expenses tied to expected company performance to help develop the annual budget.
9. You will communicate scope of multiple projects with company partners and oversee project requirements and timelines.
10 Perform other tasks as may be assigned.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field or 4 years related experience.
Advanced Microsoft Office skills including, higher level functions in EXCEL such as Pivot Tables, Sumifs, Nested formulas, V/H lookups, Macros, Graphing.
Analyze statistical reports and Profit / Loss statements and make recommendations based on those findings.
Maintain organization, have integrity, and in handling confidential information.
Three (3) years of planning and analysis experience
