Job Purpose or Objective(s): The Dispatch Shift Manager is responsible for operations and associates while on shift as well as dispatching calls for Tribal Police, Tribal Security and Tribal EMS. You will report to the Dispatch Site Manager.

Primary Tasks:

1.聽聽聽聽聽聽 Oversee the daily operations of the dispatch center, ensuring dispatchers handle calls efficiently and follow protocols for Tribal Police, Security, and EMS.

2.聽聽聽聽聽聽 Manage multiple responsibilities, including monitoring dispatch activities, assisting with escalated incidents, and ensuring team performance while maintaining composure in high-stress situations.

3.聽聽聽聽聽聽 Maintain and audit dispatch logs, reports, and call recordings in the assigned computer program to ensure compliance and accuracy.

4.聽聽聽聽聽聽 Support scheduling adjustments, manage shift coverage, and assist in planning for dispatcher availability to ensure proper staffing levels.

5.聽聽聽聽聽聽 Ensure quality assurance by providing guidance to dispatchers, monitoring calls, and enforcing adherence to policies, procedures, and OLETS (Oklahoma Law Enforcement Telecommunications System) requirements.

6.聽聽聽聽聽聽 Assist in dispatcher training, provide coaching on customer service techniques and emergency response procedures, and ensure team members can give and receive instructions effectively.

7.聽聽聽聽聽聽 Act as a communication link between dispatch, Tribal Police, Security, EMS, and other departments to coordinate response efforts and ensure smooth operations.

8.聽聽聽聽聽聽 Support leadership in dispatch center operations, including OLETS supervision, compliance with regulatory requirements, and handling additional tasks as needed.

9.聽聽聽聽聽聽 Other tasks as assigned.

Requirements:

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 2 years of prior dispatching experience plus 1 year of supervisory experience required

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Must be at least 18 years of age.

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Able to obtain and maintain OLETS and TAPS certification

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Knowledge of personal computers and basic computer functions

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Knowledge of communications equipment and proper radio terminology

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Full working knowledge of CAD/Dispatch Software and OLETS Terminal

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Displays the ability to reason and react calmly and quickly in an emergency.

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Ability to communicate with groups and individuals effectively both orally and in writing.
