The Team Lead is responsible for developing daily plans and assignments for their team and motivating associates within an assigned DC work area. They will report and escalate issues to area supervisors, collaborate interdepartmentally to enhance productivity, train associates, ensure adherence to Safety guidelines, and compliance to SOPs, policies, and work standards.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Adhere to all Safety, Quality, and Operational goals, policies, procedures, and standards. This includes but is not limited to reporting and escalating unsafe conditions, near misses, injuries, etc., immediately.
  • Maintain safe, clean, and orderly work area(s) that aid in efficient and productive experiences for self and others performing work on-site.
  • Prioritize work as assigned, and manage the flow of day-to-day operations, including the development of timelines and strategies for your team to achieve targeted business results.
  • Under the direction of the area Supervisor and DC leadership, provide clear and effective communication to your team in the assignment of tasks, delivery of training to DC personnel, and leveraging of appropriate resources to keep projects on track and ensure DC success.
  • Participate in the creation and distribution of documentation, generation of reports, and information to keep team(s) up to date.
  • Monitor and review productivity metrics for individuals and teams.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support business operations as needed or directed by leadership.

  • Self-motivated with proven ability to work with others, execute daily plans, provide direction to team with minimal supervision. (This includes but is not limited to communicating issues, concerns, and updates as needed).
  • Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities.
  • Team collaboration, customer service, and critical thinking skills to support productivity and experience in a fast paced work environment.
  • Ability to develop, implement, and assess performance metrics.

DESIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Employed for at least one (1) year in current role.
  • High school diploma or a GED equivalent from a certified college.
  • At least one (1) year of experience performing functions in WMS.
  • Minimum of 2 Years of team leadership experience in manufacturing or distribution center environment preferred.
  • Experience using MS Office (MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
