About the Role

The Assistant Property Manager is responsible for coordinating with the General Manager to direct and supervise the activities of building staff and vendors in accordance with policies and procedures.


This role plays a key part in maintaining the reliability and performance of our buildings, creating safe, functional environments for tenants and clients.  Key responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Participate in preparation of financial and management reports, monitors collections  and coordinates default proceedings
  • Assist in monitoring operating expenses and capital budgets, prepares & administers operating expense recoveries and adjustments to actual, due diligence, etc.
  • Effectively manage relationships with internal and external team members
  • Prepare reports, proposals, and presentations as required
  • Participate with maintenance staff to develop 5-year capital plan
  • Participate in the Customer Service Tenant Satisfaction survey process
  • Track progress of goals, objectives, timelines and budgets; and generate reports on status
  • Oversee facility operations including maintenance programs, vendor contracts, building inspections, construction/TI administration, emergency response & preparedness and regulatory compliance
  • Coordinate with General Manager on lease administration functions
  • Oversee Housekeeping/Janitorial efforts
  • Perform all administrative & operational duties as required
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 1 - 3 years of hands-on real estate management experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with accounting principles and practices, preferably in real estate
  • Demonstrated proficient knowledge of MS Office applications (Word and Excel a must) and accounting software
  • Strong communication and customer service skills (oral and written)
  • Ability to exercise prudent judgment in the absence of supervisory personnel
  • Attention to detail and strong aptitude for mathematics
  • Ability to organize and prioritize tasks to ensure accuracy and timely completion, ability to multi-task
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without need for employer sponsorship now or in the future
