What You'll Do
In this role, you will work within the Research Sciences function, as a member of the Knowledge Management (KM) team. The KM team is responsible for developing and codifying Flatiron expertise and best practices into effective documentation leveraged by our data users and life science partners so they can more efficiently translate real-world data (RWD) into real-world evidence (RWE).
In this role you will demonstrate:
- Domain Expertise: Become a subject matter expert in our EHR-derived RWD capabilities while continuing to gain a deeper understanding of industry-standard methodologies used to generate rigorous RWE.
- User Enablement: Deeply understand the challenges of internal data users to independently develop and deliver KM resources (e.g., documentation, webinars, visualizations) that support rigorous analytical planning and statistical analysis.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with a diverse cross-functional teammates (including solution managers, oncologists, and software engineers) to translate complex data into accessible KM resources, in a way that’s tailored to each specific target audience.
- Effective Facilitation: Effectively lead meetings with internal stakeholders, aligning technical approaches with overarching business goals to drive clear, actionable next steps.
Who You Are
You're a kind, collaborative problem-solver. In addition, you can simultaneously think analytically and effectively communicate complex topics to a wide range of audiences. You are excited by the prospect of rolling up your sleeves to tackle meaningful problems each and every day.
- You hold a Master’s degree with 2-3 years of industry experience; or PhD (or equivalent) in epidemiology, biostatistics, health economics and outcomes (HEOR) research.
- You have previously analyzed observational data (e.g., registries, healthcare claims, or electronic health records)
- You are an effective oral and written communicator who enjoys developing technical yet accessible content for consumption by diverse audiences. You can tailor your message to specific audiences.
- You are excited about designing pedagogically effective technical documentation, trainings, and other supports that will enable our data users in a scalable manner
- You are familiar with R (or another programming language with a commitment to becoming proficient in R)
- You have effective organizational, time-management, and prioritization skills so you can plan and implement multiple high-visibility projects in a timely fashion in a dynamic, diverse environment
- You are able to quickly learn and apply new information, skills, and procedures
- You are passionate about our mission to improve healthcare through technology
Extra creditÂ
