Job DetailsLevel: ExperiencedJob Location: Raleigh Durham Office - Durham, NC 27617Electrical Engineer III [Hybrid] Summary Engineer III is a senior technical leader and project engineer who oversees complex assignments, leads junior engineers, and ensures technical excellence. This role manages the design, analysis, and implementation of MEP-T systems for medium to large projects, serving as the firm’s representative to clients for those projects. Our Raleigh Durham location.  Responsibilities • Delegate moderate tasks and provide guidance to team members. • Lead discipline-specific design for medium to large projects with limited Revit use. • Review and direct complex designs, calculations, and simulations. • Review complex submittals and shop drawings. • Respond to complex RFIs. • Conduct targeted site visits to resolve critical issues. • Prepare technical reports and documentation. • Participate in project meetings, offering high-level technical input. • Ensure project delivery meets schedule and budget targets. • Support workplan development and adjust for scope/schedule changes. Qualifications Education & Licensure • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Protection, or Communications Engineering. • Relevant professional licensure or certification preferred (PE, CPD, FPE, RCDD, etc.). or greater than 15 years of experience in lieu of license. Experience • 6+ years of progressive AEC industry experience. Technical Skills • Expertise in multiple engineering software platforms. • Advanced understanding of codes, standards, and QA/QC processes. Leadership & Management Skills • Proven ability to mentor and lead junior engineers. • Skilled at delegating and overseeing technical work. Communication & Business Skills • Strong client-facing and presentation skills. • Effective in leading technical discussions and resolving issues. Success Measures (SMART) Supervisory Responsibility Serves as technical advisor and mentor to junior engineers and co-ops. May assign and review work under the direction of the Team Leader. Work Environment Office environment with periodic site visits for technical troubleshooting; adherence to safety protocols required. Physical Demands Ability to sit/stand for extended periods, operate office equipment, and occasionally lift/move up to 25 lbs. Site visits may require navigating uneven terrain, ladders, and outdoor conditions.
