Floating Leasing Consultant – CommonPlace

We’re looking for a Floating Leasing Consultant to be the face of our community. This role is all about building connections—welcoming new residents, supporting current ones, and helping people find the perfect place to call home. For this role, you will travel between our sites in Raleigh-Durham, NC

What You’ll Do

  • Welcome prospective residents, lead tours, and showcase apartments, amenities, and community features.
  • Ensure all model units, common areas, and tour paths are clean and ready to impress.
  • Guide applicants through the full leasing process: applications, screenings, deposits, lease agreements, and move-ins.
  • Keep resident files accurate and up to date.
  • Enforce renter’s insurance compliance.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of the local market and competitor communities.
  • Implement marketing strategies and use digital tools (social media, property websites, listing platforms) to generate leads.
  • Respond quickly to all leads and follow up consistently.
  • Build lasting relationships with prospects and residents through excellent communication.
  • Support lease renewals by preparing documents, meeting with residents, and ensuring smooth renewals.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team to ensure curb appeal and move-in readiness.
  • Plan and participate in resident events that build a sense of community.
  • Handle resident requests and concerns with care and professionalism.
  • Represent CommonPlace with a polished, positive appearance and attitude.
  • Availability to work weekends.
  • Support different managers at different properties.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Leasing experience strongly preferred.
  • Professional, courteous, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite required; OneSite/Appfolio experience preferred).
  • Customer service or sales background is a plus.
  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
  • Must have valid driver’s license, insurance, and reliable transportation to travel to different properties.
  • Competitive hourly rate of $24.00 per hour + generous commissions.
