Hope Valley Country Club, located in Durham, North Carolina, and managed by Bobby Jones Links, is hiring for Food and Beverage Servers. Founded in 1926, Hope Valley is an elite private club featuring a classic Donald Ross designed golf course, state-of-the-art tennis facility, resort-style pool complex, and a spacious, welcoming clubhouse offering its members first-class recreation, dining, and programming. Hope Valley is ideally situated in the heart of one of Southeast’s most vibrant, exciting areas. Responsibilities of the Food and Beverage Server at Hope Valley Country Club include: Presents menus, answer questions, and makes menu recommendations Utilizes the point of sales system and places orders with the kitchen. Attends all applicable pre-meal meetings. Advises supervisor of any complaints. Responsible for cash handling and the accuracy of receipts at day’s end. Incorporates safe work practices and safe food handling standards. Completes side-work (delivering racks of cups to the service station, rolling silverware, pre-bussing tables, wiping tables and removing debris, etc). QualificationsRequired Skills Must be of legal age to serve alcoholic beverages (May vary by state) Must have all certifications and licenses as required by local Health Department and Alcoholic Beverage Commission statutes Ability to enforce company policies and laws and regulations regarding consumption of alcohol.   Physical Demands & Work Environment Requirements The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Lift up to 25 lbs. regularly; up to 50 lbs. occasionally and to lift overhead and push/pull, move lighter objects.
