We serve a substantial region encompassing Pittsboro, Chapel Hill, Durham, and select portions of western Wake County. This position requires working with pediatric early intervention clients and their families.

Expectations:

  • Maintain a regular and consistent work schedule to ensure optimal client outcomes
  • Evaluate patient needs and develop appropriate treatment plans
  • Provide hands-on therapy in our clinic, as well as in homes and other natural environments
  • Educate clients and their families on proper therapeutic techniques and carryover of home programs
  • Monitor and document client progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, as appropriate, to ensure comprehensive care
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research and advancements in occupational therapy techniques for treating pediatric conditions
  • Ensure timely completion of paperwork

Experience:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience as a pediatric Occupational Therapist is preferred, but newer practitioners and/or clinicians who are newer to this setting are also welcome to apply!
  • Applicants should demonstrate proficiency in documentation, including justification of therapeutic need, medical necessity, efficient coding, and client results.
  • Familiarity with therapeutic treatment techniques for SPD, ASD, common developmental diagnoses, and feeding is strongly preferred.
Qualifications:

  • Degree from an accredited OT program
  • Valid NC licensure as an occupational therapist (or in the process of obtaining NC licensure)
  • Current background check through DCDEE (or willing to obtain prior to beginning work)
  • CPR certification
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team
