Principal Investigator — Durham, NC

IMA Clinical Research | New Site Launch

IMA Clinical Research is expanding into Durham, NC and seeking a Principal Investigator for our newest clinical research site. This is an opportunity to support a new site launch while working within IMA's established research infrastructure, operational processes, and support model. Both full-time and part-time schedules may be considered.

 

What You'll Do

  • Serve as the Principal Investigator of record for assigned clinical trials (Phase II–IV; we do not conduct Phase I studies)
  • Conduct study-related medical evaluations and procedures in accordance with approved protocols
  • Monitor participant safety throughout study participation
  • Review protocols, informed consent materials, participant records, and relevant regulatory documentation
  • Assess participant eligibility and review clinically significant findings
  • Complete required study documentation accurately and within established timelines
  • Communicate with sponsors, CROs, IRBs, and internal research teams as required
  • Help establish relationships with local healthcare providers and community organizations
  • Follow established IMA workflows, standard operating procedures, and regulatory requirements

What You Bring

  • MD, DO, or equivalent clinical degree with an active, unrestricted state medical license
  • Experience as a Principal Investigator or Sub-Investigator on clinical trials (Phase II–IV experience preferred)
  • Current GCP certification or willingness to obtain it before starting
  • Strong knowledge of ICH-GCP guidelines and FDA regulatory standards
  • A collaborative approach and comfort working within an established, team-based research environment
