Pay: $17.00 - $26.00 / hour
This pay band is a starting point and is dependent on experience and advancement through our competency leveling system.

At BluePearl Pet Hospital, our Veterinary Receptionists are imperative to the success of our hospital. In this position, you are the first BluePearl Associate that the client sees. You will ensure that each client receives the care and attention that they need. You will need to be able to function calmly and compassionately in situations that can be very emotional and difficult for our clients.Ā Ā Ā

As a Veterinary Receptionist:Ā 

Ā Ā 

  • You will greet and make friendly eye contact every time our hospital entry door opens to offer the individual warm and professional acknowledgement.Ā Ā 

  • You are always offering a friendly smile, strong eyeĀ contactĀ and an approachable demeanor.Ā Ā 

  • You are a compassionate listener.Ā Ā 

  • You speak clearly, slowly, and calmly in person and on the telephone in a way that clients easily understand.Ā Ā 

  • You will assessĀ immediatelyĀ upon arrival each client’s rare need, as well as the pet’s general condition.Ā Ā 

  • You willĀ determineĀ whether an emergency arrival is a ā€œstatā€ versusĀ ā€œstandardā€ emergency.Ā Ā 

  • You will respond to non-patient calls or visitors and connect them to theĀ appropriate teamĀ member.Ā Ā 

  • YouĀ are responsible forĀ confirming all appointments inĀ advanceĀ ensuring clients receiveĀ accurateĀ information about preparing their pet for the appointment.Ā Ā 

  • You will offer emotional support and resource materials to grieving clients in a compassionate and discreet manner.Ā Ā 

  • You serve as a liaison between clients and service agencies during handling of petĀ remainsĀ by ensuring a complete,Ā accurate, and compassionate process.Ā Ā
